– hardcopy and electronic – with unique

Document Server and Document Editor

capabilities. Document Server and Docu-

ment Editor combine to leverage the print

and copy functions of the

2585 – providing

a distinctive print-on-demand solution.

• Document Scanning – Scan and store

up to

250 different files with a maximum

capacity of

5,000 pages – including all

job parameters and password protection.

And, with the Memory Status Indicator,

you’ll know if there’s enough available

memory to store your entire document

just by looking at the Touch Screen.

• File Merge – Combine and print a

variety of electronic files or merge scanned

originals with electronic files – ideal for

publications that incorporate graphics,

technical diagrams or software screen shots.

• File Sort – Once your files are stored

in the Document Server, you can sort

them by name, scan date, user ID or

total number of pages - making it easy

to find and prioritize all files.

• Print First Page – When you’ve identified

the file you’re looking for, have the

2585

print out the first page to be certain that

you’ve requested the correct file, eliminating

costly and unproductive printing errors.

• Sample Set – Before a long run, print a

sample set and make sure that any stored

features are correct.

• Document Editor – Keep frequently

revised material like manuals, documenta-

tion and policy and procedure booklets

up-to-date and ready to print. Add or delete

pages – even change the job settings – of

any document that is stored in the Docu-

ment Server and eliminating re-scanning.

• CD-R/W Drive – Expand the storage

capability of the Document Server with

this unique option. Store documents

offline on

CDs; then, when you’re ready

to produce a job, just insert the disk

into the drive and call it up on the

Touch Panel Display.

Make the Connection

Double your productivity by connecting

two Savin

2585s with the Connect Copy

option for an effective output rate of

170

copies per minute. Large jobs can be split

between the two systems and run simul-

taneously. Connect Copy also provides:

• Full job integrity – if copying stops on

one system, the job will be shifted to the

other for completion. If the situation

that caused copying to stop is fixed, the

job will automatically be split again.

• Automatic backup protection – if one

system is down for any reason, the other

system will be operational.

• Unattended operation – thanks to a

combined paper supply of

15,100 sheets,

two

2585’s can run without interruption

for over one hour.
