[DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) Support]
How it works
Records (**) managed by DNS server will be dynamically renewed.
Without DDNS, manual renewal of records required when DNS client's IP address is changed.
(**) Records are two type of mapping information as follows;
1. "A" record for host name to IP address
2. "PTR" record for IP address to host name.
Customer benefits
Under conventional DNS function, name resolution does not work with following cases.
1. Change of IP address for MFP
2. Change of Device Name for MFP
However, with DDNS function, above change will be automatically notified to DNS server, name
resolution work even after these changes.
