Product Concept
The C264 is a mid-price 400 dpi Digital Duplicator with a new User-friendly Operation Panel. The C264 is
the replacement machine for the C249. The function and operation of the C264 and the C249 are
basically identical. The master making mechanism and the image printing mechanism remain
unchanged.
Major Technical Enhancements of C264
• Further reduced machine noise level.
• Soundproof parts have been added to the paper feed, paper delivery and other sections inside the
machine.
• Optimized paper feed timing (I/O ROM modification).
• The shape of the drum flange has been changed.
• Drum home position detection newly added (green and red LEDs added).
• Improved ease of drum unit removal/re-insertion by increasing the durability of the drum drive gear.
• Improved paper alignment in the paper delivery tray by adding buffer fins to the side fences.
• Auto Off mode was added.
• High-speed printer with Ricoh optional controllers (VC-20 or Printer Unit Type 40) installed in the
C264. (The interface board type 45 is needed to install VC-20).
Network Controller Option – Printer Unit Type 40
Network capability
Printer Unit Type 40 allows the B264 to be a network printer and to operate under the same
environment as other printing equipments. The Customer can easily choose C264 from a printer list
according to the print job type.
Ricoh Network Utilities
Printer Unit Type 40 is compatible with Web Image Monitor and SmartDeviceMonitor for
Client/Admin. Central monitoring and administration of all equipments connected on the same
network become available via these utilities.
